Abbasid, better known as the Abbasid Caliphate, is a civilization in Age of History II that only shows up in the 1200 scenario.

Note: this is focusing on the later Abbasid era as this is the one that appears in game.
The Abbasid Dynasty, while once a powerful Arab dynasty, had preety much fallen by the start of their later era, and was riddled with political problems and rulers being deposed. The Abbasids would keep losing territory until their eventual conquest to by the Mongols in 1258.

While it was a great empire in real life for many years, it is smaller in the 1200 scenario due to invasions by other countries. Its capital is Baghdad, and has the Monarchy ideology. Territory is akin to Modern day Iraq, Kuwait, and the Iranian province of Khurestan. It is ranked 31th.
